I worked closely with producers on the filming and post-production of the award-winning short documentary "The Scottish Brocade". Join this voyage of discovery, that starts in the remote villages of the Highlands of Scotland and travels to my hometown Nanjing, China, to witness the challenge of bringing two very different weaving cultures together into one piece of fabric.
During the 2014 Youth Olympic Games, I assisted leading media experts with the high pressure day-to-day running of the newsroom. My role was supporting over 100 video journalists at the Olympic Broadcasting Station (OBS) Highlights Office, which include setting up interviews for feature films; on-site interpreting and voice-over support during post-production.
This short clip was made during my Bachelor's studies in Journalism. I was so thrilled when I had the chance to film the backstage of a grand event for young Chinese Opera lovers. The makeup, the hair, the costumes...the magic of this ancient art carries on through the young performers, and continues to mesmerize its modern viewers like myself.
